Five Ways We Help You Reach Graduation

Our scholarships are open to students in Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties. Each award is $1,500 and recognizes a different kind of achievement — from academic excellence and community involvement to resilience, service, and a commitment to teaching. Review the awards below and apply to the ones that match your goals.

TCFF Scholarship

Open to all majors with a focus on academic achievement and community involvement. Applicants submit a personal statement about overcoming challenges that shaped their goals.

Award: $1,500 

Louise Epperson Endowment

Supports students from single-mother households who show resilience in pursuing higher education. Requires an essay connecting Langston Hughes’ poem “Mother to Son” to the applicant’s personal experiences. 

Award: $1,500 

Dorothy Morton Endowment Scholarship

Supports students pursuing degrees in healthcare or education. Requires an essay on the positive change the applicant intends to make after graduation. 

Award: $2,000 

Team Lambert Investment Scholarship

Dedicated to future educators committed to making a difference in classrooms and schools. Awarded to students pursuing education degrees.

Award: $1,500 

Theta Rho Endowment Scholarship

Awarded to a student pursuing a career as a military officer. Applicants must be currently enrolled in — or accepted into — an ROTC program and pursuing a degree focused on service and leadership. Requires an essay explaining the applicant’s motivation to serve as a military officer, emphasizing their commitment to leadership, service, and country.

Award: $1,500 

Who Can Apply

All TCFF scholarships are open to students residing in Bexar, Comal, or Guadalupe Counties. Each award is $1,500. Applicants may apply to more than one scholarship if they meet the criteria.

Have your official high school transcript, a letter of recommendation, and your college acceptance letter ready, along with your contact and academic details. (See the full checklist below.)

Each scholarship has its own essay prompt (300–550 words). Draft it in a word processor first, then paste it into the application.

You’ll also need your contact information, current school and academic details (GPA, SAT/ACT scores, class rank), your intended college and major, and your county of residence. A resume and list of activities are recommended but not required. All documents must be in PDF or common image formats.

Official High School Transcript

Must show your current GPA and class rank. You can upload it, or your school counselor can email it directly.

Letter of Recommendation

From a teacher, counselor, or community leader. Upload the letter or provide your reference's contact information.

College Acceptance Letter:

Proof of acceptance or enrollment verification from your intended college.

Students who reside in Bexar, Comal, or Guadalupe Counties. Some awards have additional criteria (for example, ROTC enrollment for the Theta Rho scholarship or an education major for Team Lambert).

Yes, as long as you meet each award’s requirements. However, only one scholarship will be awarded.

The application deadline changes annually, the application open date usually runs between January of the current year and closes around May of the current year
